Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information. This page explains what we share, and lets you submit an opt-out request.
What "sale" and "share" mean
Under the CCPA, "sale" doesn't mean trading personal data for cash — it means any transfer of personal information to a third party for valuable consideration. "Sharing" under the CPRA means transferring personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Summit Moving Pros does not sell personal information in the traditional sense. We have never and will never sell your name, phone number, email, address, or move details to a data broker or lead-generation company.
However, we do allow two narrow types of "sharing" that fall under the CPRA's definition:
Marketing pixels (behavioral sharing)
When you visit our website, third-party pixels from Google Ads, Meta (Facebook), and Microsoft Ads may record anonymous behavioral data — pages visited, time on page, referring source — for the purpose of measuring ad performance. These pixels do not access your name, phone, email, or move details.
Conversion attribution
When you submit a quote request, we report to Google Ads and Meta that a conversion occurred. We report only that a conversion happened — never the contents of the form, your contact details, or your move information.

In the last 12 months, we collected the following categories of personal information and shared them for the purposes described:

Your opt-out rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to direct us to stop sharing your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This right extends to other states with similar laws, including Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, and Utah.
When you submit an opt-out request through this page, we will:
- Immediately disable all non-essential tracking pixels (Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft Ads) for your browser session
- Add your email address (if provided) to our suppression list so that no future marketing campaigns target you
- Not share any information about your request with advertising platforms
- Retain a minimal record of your request (email only) for legal compliance purposes
We do not charge a fee for opt-out requests, and we do not require you to create an account.

How we verify requests
To protect your information, we verify every Do Not Sell or Share request before acting on it.
- For opt-out requests: we require only your name and email address. You do not need to verify your identity further — the risk of an unauthorized opt-out is minimal.
- For access or deletion requests: we may require additional verification, typically a confirmation email and, for sensitive data, a copy of a government-issued ID.
- For requests that come from someone other than the consumer: we require proof of authorization and verification of the agent's own identity.
We respond to opt-out requests within 15 business days and to access or deletion requests within 45 calendar days, with an extension of up to 45 additional days if necessary. If we need more time, we will notify you.
Other privacy rights
Beyond opting out of sale or sharing, you also have the right to:
- Know what personal information we've collected about you and how we've used it
- Access a copy of your personal information in a portable format
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you
- Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive information for advertising purposes)

Non-discrimination
We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. Specifically, we will not:
- Deny you services or refuse to quote a move
- Charge you a different price or apply a different rate
- Provide a lower quality of service
- Suggest that you will receive a different price or quality of service
We do not use financial incentives to encourage or discourage privacy rights requests.
